Mako shoulder surgery – Mr Andrew Weber

We are pleased to introduce our newly commenced Mako Shoulder Replacement procedures.

Beleura Private Hospital prides itself on providing quality care close to home and providing up to date techniques and equipment. After seven years of using the Mako robot for knee replacements, Beleura is the second hospital in Victoria to now offer this advanced, robot-assisted technology in reverse shoulder replacements.

Beleura has also now purchased a second Mako robot.

Mr Andrew Weber, who was recently elected President of the Victorian Shoulder and Elbow Society, is very familiar with the Mako, having used it for his knee replacements. Having done the additional shoulder training he has been using the Mako this year for reverse shoulder replacements.

This technology allows for highly personalised surgical planning, and exceptional precision during shoulder replacement surgery. By using 3D imaging and real-time
guidance, Mako Shoulder helps optimise implant positioning, improve joint function, and support a smoother recovery for patients.

Our team is excited to offer this cutting-edge approach, enhancing outcomes and delivering the highest standard of care for those requiring shoulder replacement
surgery.
